Building Tour A building tour was conducted prior to the meeting at 6:50 p.m.
Call to Order The regular monthly meeting of the USD #256 Board of Education was called to order by President, Patti Boyd, in the district office on Monday evening, August 9, 2010 at 7:07 p.m.
Members Present Members present were Patti Boyd, Judi Knight, Bob Rhodes, and Amanda Allen. Also present were David Hardage, Andy Anderson, Ken McWhirter, and Cheryl Wallis.
Melvin Bland arrived at the meeting at 7:08 p.m.
Grant Presentation Andy Anderson presented the board a grant check for $1,000 for board training.
Andy Anderson left the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
Consent Agenda Judi Knight moved to approve the August consent agenda items a-c as presented. Melvin Bland seconded the motion, and it carried 5 – 0.
Audiences There were no audiences.
Reports The superintendent and principal gave their respective reports.
Judi Knight gave the ANW Special Education Cooperative report.
2010-11 Budget Melvin Bland moved to adopt the presented 2010-11 budget. Bob Rhodes seconded the motion, and it carried 5 – 0.
Milk Bids Melvin Bland moved to accept bid for milk from Hiland Dairy for 2010-11. Amanda Allen seconded the motion, and it carried 5 – 0.
Negotiations Judi Knight moved to ratify the presented 2010-11 PNA. Bob Rhodes seconded the motion, and it carried 5 – 0.
Personnel Amanda Allen moved to hire Travis Johnson as custodian. Judi Knight seconded the motion, and it carried 5 – 0.
Bob Rhodes moved to hire Dan Uhlrich as JH Assistant Football Coach for 2010-11. Judi Knight seconded the motion, and it carried 5 – 0.
Bob Rhodes moved to go into executive session for 10 minutes at 8:05 p.m. to discuss non-elected personnel with David Hardage also present. Melvin Bland seconded the motion, and it carried 5 – 0.
The board returned to open session at 8:15 p.m.
Adjournment Amanda Allen moved to adjourn the meeting. Judi Knight seconded the motion, and it carried 5 – 0. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
